I would like to share with you another bit of information from Rachel Snyder’s Book….Words of Wisdom for Women.
Empty…
Pour it out. Dump it out. Throw it out. Empty every bag, box, and bureau. Empty every closet, every corner, every cupboard, every cell. Pull it out. Drag it out. Clean it out. Clear it out. Spread it out, sort it out. Look at what you’ve collected, what you’ve stored, what you carry around with you every day of your life. Empty out the old, the unwanted, the unusable. Empty out the pain, the heartache, the memories. Empty everything that offers nothing. Leave things empty for a while. Feel empty. Feel the lack. Feel your way through the nothingness, until at last you feel ready to fill.
This is a great book and I suggest you check it out and enjoy!

Greetings,
A little over a year ago we honored the 83rd. birthday of our dear friend Dr. Werner Langer. We gave him the gift of a goat! Yes, I said goat! The goat does not go directly to him but to a family in need in another country. It was really quite simple to do this. We had found a great website Heifer International. From there we clicked on “GIVE” and selected our living gift that would be given in Dr. Werner’s name. We chose a goat, but you can also select flocks of chicks, geese, ducks, lambs, goats, bees, cows etc. Next April we will celebrate Dr. Langers 85th birthday with a party at my home….please don’t bring any chickens!
If you are looking for a gift to give some who has everything…then this is the site to go to. The gift keeps on giving making a huge impact on providing food and income to a family.
An example: In Tanzania, Omari and Kulwa were struggling to raise a family on just 50 cents a day. With the training and a flock of chicks they received from Heifer, egg sales have boosted their daily income to $2 and now they can buy food and still pay school fees. Now, through passing on the gift, (they share some of the offspring of the chickens) all of the children in their village are going to school.
Please take a few minutes to check out this organization’s web site….it is truly amazing all that they are doing around the world!

Here is Rachel Snyder’s take on the word “Serve”. Hope you enjoy!
SERVE
Serve a higher purpose. Serve humanity, serve the Earth, serve the greater commom good. Dedicate your life to service in its many forms. Serve in your own way, using the precious gifts that only you can give. Serve the young, the old, the dying. Serve women, serve men, serve to bring us closer together. Serve families formed by birth, choice, or circumstance. Serve the very weak, serve the strong and powerful. Serve through medicine, through law, through laughter and song. Through deeds, through words, by the sweat of your brow and the love of your heart. Serve in whatever way you are called to serve. Serve others with no concern for serving yourself, and know you will always be served.
